Chocolate Pudding Cake Recipe
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 7 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- 1/4 vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups warm water (additional)
In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients, including the sugar and the nuts. In a medium bowl, blend the oil, 1 cup of warm water and the vanilla. Blend well and stir into the flour mixture, mixing well. This will form a rather thick batter. Add remaining warm water and blend until smooth and very thin. Pour into an ungreased 9" square pan and bake for 25-30, minutes in a preheated 350F oven. Remove from the oven, cool and then cut into squares. Serve with whipped cream on top. Would also be good with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
