Lime Jello Cake Recipe


Lime Jello Cake Recipe

1 box white cake mix

1-3 ounce box lime gelatin

4 large eggs

1 cup water

˝ cup shortening

1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch by 13-inch pan; can also be baked in a bundt pan. Mix all ingredients in bowl and beat for 3 minutes or until well blended. Pour into the prepared pan(s) and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Put the following recipe for icing on the hot cake. After icing, cool the cake completely before serving.

Icing

1 pound confectioners’ sugar

Juice of 2 lemons

Rind of 1 grated lime

Mix all ingredients until smooth and pour on the hot cake.
